All t-shirts (sweatshirts, socks, hats, bandanas, gloves) should be washed without fabric softener prior to bringing or mailing to me. Any stains or fading will show up in the finished quilt. Please do not cut your T-shirts, I’ll do that for you! Extra t-shirt fabric will be returned with the finished quilt only if requested. Anywhere there is a logo on a t-shirt, it can be used in the quilt. Please mark any logo with a safety pin if you don’t want it used in your quilt.
The Process:
Once I receive your shirts (either in person or by mail), I will get them cut out and arranged into the quilt. At this time I will snap a photo and email/text it to you for your approval (or you can come to the studio). I will not start sewing the quilt together without your final OK!
Batting and Backing:
The batting is a high quality layer of a cotton/polyester blend sandwiched between the top and the backing. Backing fabric is 100% quilt shop quality cotton.
Quilting and Finishing:
Each quilt is professionally machine quilted in an overall pattern to provide a more stable and durable finished product. A double thick binding is then applied to the outside edge to finish your quilt. Please be aware that most logos will be quilted over with the overall design. This in no way will detract from the look of the logos.

I am usually booked 3 months out for t-shirt quilts!
A 50% deposit is required when you order your quilt and can be made by check, credit card or cash.
When your quilt is done, I will email/call you for the balance via the methods mentioned above.
Once payment is received, your quilt will be ready for you to pick up or be shipped. Shipping and handling for your quilt will be via USPS Priority, Fed Ex or UPS -whichever method you prefer and I charge by the weight of the quilt plus insurance.
