Longarm Quilting

.

Prepare your Quilt top

Press your top, trim all loose threads, and square it up! A quilt top that is not square will have puckers, pleats and tucks when quilted.

If there is a top vs. bottom to your quilt, please safety pin a note to your quilt indicating the top to your quilt.

Prepare your Quilt back

Press your quilt back and square it up!  If there are any seams in your back, make sure they are pressed open.

Your back should be 100% cotton.  Bed sheets are not appropriate as they are not 100% cotton.

The back should be 4” larger than the quilt top on all 4 sides.

Prepare your batting

The batting should be 4” larger than the quilt top on all 4 sides.

Quilter’s Dream Cotton or Warm and Natural are my preferred battings.  You can purchase your batting from me ($8.00 per yard for 90” wide) or supply your own.
